I have lived in Edmonds for 20 years and I have seen these scenarios firsthand in other communities and it becomes devoid of charm not to mention taking away our property values that we have so long waited for our homes to appreciate!! Now it will be eroded and dwindled to less. For many, the equity in our homes are there to see us through to our older very senior years and these changes alone are going to compromise that and future facility living has and will become even more expensive. We should also be talking about this point. It's huge for ourelderly established community.

My wife and I have owned a home in Edmonds for just two years, but we’re both born and raised in Seattle and view Edmonds as a wonderful final home and an escape from the disaster that is becoming Seattle and King County. We are very interested in supporting the Alliance, and have donated to the Edmonds Senior Center and looking for other ways to support this charming community.
